Position Title：

Part time Administrator/Project coordinator  

Location：

399 Church Street, PN

Length：

October,2024--June,2025

Reports to 

Mcct B.O.T

Remuneration：

$25/hr, 80hrs/month

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Network Development 

• Establish work relationship with government agencies, existing mainstream service providers and community groups    

• Build relationship with 

o local Chinese and their family members, and

o activity participants and partners

2. Activities coordination and referrals 

• First point of contact on all referrals

• Coordinate with project managers and/or Volunteer Coordinators

• Ensure that scheduled activities take place and targeted number of attendance attained

• Assist the Volunteer Coordinator for volunteer training program and the Social Worker, when needed

• Monitoring and reporting of activities

• Provide administration support on the day-to-day running of the Trust

3. Marketing & Communication 

• Provide input in the development of the program’s media kit 

• Distribute media kit to community groups, other possible takers and interested agencies

• Attend network meetings to increase the profile of the Trust

4. Provide culturally appropriate services and support to the Chinese clients

● Screen the referrals and carry out the Initial Assessment and identify issues 

● Report back to referrers for decision of acceptance and work plan or reasons of decline 

● Provide formal or informal counselling to clients according to issues presenting

● Provide social work interventions and necessary practical assistance needed to resolve issues

● Work together with the client for on-going support, connecting clients to relevant community groups

Applicant for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa; Tax code should be M for PAYE; 

Wages will be paid monthly subject to working load and time sheet be filled and reported to Trustees for approval.
